......quite literally (I don't have video of me doing that tho, weh)
anyway this is a real threat of a laptop
I've done, among other things, the following:
- visualize and render Eevee scenes
- compile a Rust project (Gleam)
- browsing through 10 Safari tabs (including WebGL and WebGPU tech demos) and downloading Windows 11
- recording the screen
.......all of them at once
unified 8GB or not, this thing actually pushes through it all....... more or less
there's actually major complaints I wasn't expecting to have
- The GPU is surprisingly capable, *BUT* is completely nerfed by the 8GB of unified RAM. Open ShaderToy if you like suffering with 5-10fps rendering of simple scenes.
- When it gets loaded, you can tell... but not because it lags down to a crawl. It's because things like the wallpaper stop loading at times. Incredible.
- The keyboard. It's. Crammed. As. All. Hell. I think it actually hurts my hands. CHECK IF YOU'RE COMFORTABLE WITH ITS SIZE BEFORE DOING *ANY* WORK WITH IT.
- ...and of course, macOS, which honestly is buggy enough that I noticed issues with it from the hour or so I was able to use it
......but that iPod mini look......
