setting up Apollo & Artemis for game streaming over a ssh connection from my laptop to my PC and occasionally a SOCKS 5 tunnel also over ssh for stuff like “accessing smth only exposed to localhost” or “enabling UPnP on my router”

tldr: the reason it wasnt working was that the monitors were turned off by powersave, lmao

@kimapr @gelatin @twinkle my guess is this is a jab about tearing but idgaf (if doing something where tearing matters, there are ways dependent on drivers to make it happen, like triple-buffering in intel, or "forcefullcompositionpipeline" or whatever it's called on nvidia). Also i could just turn a secondary screen off if tearing is driving me crazy because things where tearing matters are usually things where i need to be focused on that thing

@wyatt @gelatin oh i actually wonder if using a compositor on X11 makes mixed refresh rates not work properly. because when i was playing minecraft with picom running, the framerate felt super shit, but when i killed picom suddenly it became smooth
