@fossilisk I did mess around a bit, my initial thoughts so far:

  • the ergonomics feel mostly fine, though a bit awkward having used switch/xbox-style controllers for so many years
  • I haven’t tested them in a game yet, but the trackpads seem easier to reach than I expected (though a bit of the opposite for the analog sticks)
  • the build quality feels decent to me, the plastic has a rough texture but it doesn’t feel cheap imo
  • the triggers don’t have quite as snappy of a force curve as my 8bitdo ultimate 2c, but they’re still better than the stiff spongy triggers on the original 8bitdo ultimate controller
  • the dpad is weirdly finicky in rain world, doing slides especially feels more difficult than on either of my 8bitdo controllers (maybe I’ll get more used to it eventually?)
  • using the left trackpad as a dpad doesn’t feel even close to accurate enough to be usable for gameplay or even in menus
  • playing rivals 2 feels mostly fine, probably won’t have any issues at all once I’m used to the placements of the inputs

I don’t really have many games on steam right now to test the gyro and grip sense with but I do wanna try it eventually, will also need to test how well the dpad works in games that are sensitive to accidental diagonals like ori 1 and tetris some day

(pinging @xerz since she wanted to know what I thought too)
