@fossilisk I did mess around a bit, my initial thoughts so far:
I don’t really have many games on steam right now to test the gyro and grip sense with but I do wanna try it eventually, will also need to test how well the dpad works in games that are sensitive to accidental diagonals like ori 1 and tetris some day
(pinging @xerz since she wanted to know what I thought too)
@fossilisk it’s the push to meow mod, very important to have for any pc player :3
@fossilisk ok the file was too big to upload here so I uploaded it to peertube instead, it gave an error when I did but the video seems to be working anyway so idk https://video.snug.moe/w/9NVrnTGYv5U1Rbqrar6h5Z
also have rivulet woomying as a bonus https://video.snug.moe/w/b1YZ5UZqcCuQVfkyAQgojq
@fossilisk accidentally grappling onto creatures or objects is always fun X3
I had one clip of a lizard having a seizure that I thought was kinda funny, I’ll see if I can find it…
@fossilisk riv is a cool scug ye :3
(for story reasons I’d do their campaign after hunter tho)
@fossilisk also in case you didn’t know, even though neurons don’t count as key items you can actually store one in your stomach if you try to swallow one when you’re already full, so you can passage with them that way
@fossilisk and yeah, hunter is pretty difficult when you’re not super experienced with the game X3
I’d say that if you ever end up getting the downpour dlc to do a couple of those campaigns before doing hunter, since a lot of them have similar difficulty and enemy spawns but without a certain very punishing mechanic that’s unique to hunter
@fossilisk if you do wanna do a survivor playthrough for the lore some time, I’d recommend enabling the “rain world remix” mod that comes pre-installed with the game and making sure the option for key items on passage is enabled in its settings screen (which can be accessed by clicking on its name after enabling it and clicking apply)
a lot of the lore comes from bringing different items to looks to the moon in shoreline and getting her to tell you about them, and that option is helpful for when there’s a unique item or variant of an item on the other side of the map and you want to get it to her without needing to walk all the way there every time
@fossilisk that first one reminds me of something… one of fearofdark’s old nes tracks maybe? or maybe something from tq-jam or someone else, idk
@fossilisk oh yeah botb, I actually made an account there like 10-ish years ago (though I never ended up figuring out how it works…)
I think it was amelia/amimifafa who invited me? her music is pretty cool too :3
@fossilisk I actually used to do tracker music years ago X3 (well, with famitracker, so technically not the same as the mod-based formats)
@fossilisk I actually wouldn’t be surprised if that piano sample itself was used in a pokemon game at some point
(it’s the piano from mother 3, but I think it originally came from a sound canvas device that other nintendo games also took various samples from, including pokemon gen 3 and maybe some later ones too)
