@tromino yeah, so I can self-host without requiring anyone to have an account on my Git

@tromino @xerz one of the biggest pains of people self hosting git servers is “ah, i need like, a billion accounts and i also need to remember which repo is on where because im not gonna be actively contributing to everything ever”

and a billion more when the average joe doesn’t have a GitHub acc to open an issue with, let alone on an unknown self-hosted git server, which means you might as well assume no one will report things there unless they’re already techy (which translates to “goodbye to any possibilities of accessibility”, which sucks a ton)

this has made people want to go back to using emails and, the idea is novel and cute but lemme just say that it has the exact same problem
